Research shows there are 3 different Metabolic Types: Fat and Protein Efficient, Carbohydrate Efficient and Dual Efficient. Each type needs a different ratio of protein, fat and carbs to generate energy and initiate fat burning.

Dual Efficient is the least common metabolic type. Someone with this type should ideally eat a balance of all three macronutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrates) and is best suited for a balanced training regimen – a relatively equal combination of endurance exercise and weight training.
